This programme is designed to develop core competencies by critical exploration of creative industries through practice-based projects and academic research. Students will have the unique advantage of using past and present industry activity as a foundation for the programme of study. One-to-one mentoring is arranged throughout the course to provide individualised focused support.

Who is it for?

The MA Creative Industries Innovation and Enterprise has been put together for people who have graduated with a degree and are looking to further their skills, contacts and careers in the broader creative industries. It’s also ideal for those without a degree but with broad industry experience, keen to gain a masters qualification alongside the development of their industry skills and activity.

Course Subjects & Modules

The programme takes each student through a process of critical reflection and review, development of professional practice through mentoring and formation and completion of a major commercial project. Areas of focus include in-depth analysis of creative industries, development of personal skills and the realisation of ideas through submission of a major project.

The programme offers a range of modules designed to further develop industry-focussed skills and knowledge. Work undertaken in these modules will inform the major commercial project module, which is the culmination of the programme. Individual modules are included to the left:

Fees & Finance

The MA Creative Industries Innovation and Enterprise tuition fee is £9,950 for both on-site and distance learning programme modes. If you are a UK resident, the post-graduate tuition fee loan is available for eligible students. You may also be able to access a tuition fee loan if you’re from an EU country.

How to Apply

Entry Requirements
An honours degree at 2:2 or higher. Applicants that don’t have an honours degree may be able to satisfy entry requirements through the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) process. This process provides an entry route for individuals who have a significant amount of music industry-relevant experience but may not have gained a Higher Education qualification previously.
