This comprehensive postgraduate qualification can fast-track your professional career in just one year. In true WaterBear style, individual projects underpin the course to offer a deeper level of personal and professional development.

You will learn to apply critical thinking and research skills to your work, gaining academic proficiency and professional credibility. You will also develop your entrepreneurial side to maximise areas of potential revenue and enterprise.

Who is it for?

The MA Creative Industries Innovation and Enterprise has been put together for people who have graduated with a degree and are looking to further their skills, contacts and careers in the broader creative industries. It’s also ideal for those without a degree but with broad industry experience, keen to gain a masters qualification alongside the development of their industry skills and activity. Many students work full-time alongside the course and we recognise the demands of this. We are therefore committed to helping everyone foster a healthy work-life balance.

Course Subjects & Modules

The programme takes each student through a process of critical reflection and review, development of professional practice through mentoring and formation and completion of a major commercial project. Areas of focus include in-depth analysis of creative industries, development of personal skills and the realisation of ideas through submission of a major project.

The programme offers a range of modules designed to further develop industry-focussed skills and knowledge. Work undertaken in these modules will inform the major commercial project module, which is the culmination of the programme. Individual modules are included to the left:

Fees & Funding

The tuition fee for UK/EU students is £9,950. If you are a UK resident, there is a postgraduate tuition fee loan available to eligible students. You may also be able to access a tuition fee loan if you’re from an EU country.

How to Apply

Entry Requirements
An honours degree at 2:2 or higher. Applicants that don’t have an honours degree could satisfy entry requirements through the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) process. This process provides an entry route for individuals who have a significant amount of industry-relevant experience but may not have a Higher Education qualification. Our MA programmes are open to students located outside of the UK and EU, who can study via Distance Learning. Entry requirements will include a minimum level of English equivalent to IELTS 6.5 overall and for each component.
