WaterBear College HQ

Our central Brighton campus has been purpose-built to reflect the WaterBear teaching and learning ethos. You will not find large classrooms with rows of chairs facing front; our teaching spaces have a more intimate feel, designed to stimulate peer discussion and facilitate deep learning.  There is free WiFi throughout, with plenty of space at the tables for your laptops, notebooks and any equipment you may need. Bespoke artwork in every space blends vintage pieces with brand new musical equipment, and state-of-the-art digital technology with unique one-offs.

Our space is flexible and multi-facetted to allow for many different activities – from lectures, seminars, and masterclasses to recording sessions and live performances. We also have dedicated space for social media creation, something vital in today’s creative industries. We host our regular Open Days here, giving everyone the chance to come and see this unique learning environment first hand.

A City-Wide Campus

In addition to the main College HQ, we regularly hold timetabled activities in venues across the city.  This approach creates a diverse environment, providing students with the opportunity to learn in spaces most appropriate to their activities.  What better place to learn live performance skills than in the exclusive confines of The Loft rehearsal space (used by Royal Blood & Architects), the legendary Prince Albert music venue, or studio recording techniques at Small Pond.  We also offer all WaterBear students free rehearsal time at Small Pond studios and Ooosh! Tours studios.
