Brett Lomas | Music Industry

Brett has worked as a tour manager for 15 years, accompanying bands to the four corners of the globe. A musician first and foremost, it was through performing that he fell into roles as merchandiser and backline tech and then on to tour management, working with numerous and diverse artists such as Buzzcocks, Kate Nash, Ash, New Young Pony Club, Scouting for Girls and Augustines. As the tours got bigger he ended up tour managing full time, realising he had found the job he was born to do. In Brett’s own words – “It’s like being in the eye of the storm, you need to be able to think and act calmly under pressure and make the right calls. The relationships you build with the band and the crew are essential especially as you are going to be thrown together in the tour bubble.”
