As a bass player Johnny has worked with the Grammy Winning Soweto Gospel Choir and Academy Award winning composer Stephen Warbeck, as well as Beverly Knight, Robson Green and Kerri Watt among others. He spent five years touring internationally with Andreya Triana’s band and played all the major festival stages with her.
He is currently recording and performing with Decca artist Jarrod Dickenson and Domino Records’ Seamus Fogarty. Johnny’s theatre work includes ‘INALA’ at the Royal Albert Hall, ‘Cats’ (London Palladium and International Tour), ‘This House’ (National Theatre/Headlong UK Tour), ‘Jersey Boys’ (UK tours & West End), ‘One Man Two Guvnors’ (National Theatre), and Drew McOnie & Grant Olding’s ‘DRUNK’. He trained at Los Angeles Music Academy and, as a graduate, returned to coach their summer schools. As the primary songwriter for his band, ‘Blitzenbolt’, Johnny has had airplay on BBC 6Music, Virgin radio, many local BBC stations and others, and ‘Blitzenbolt’ has been playlisted in Austria on FM4 and has twice been a BBC Introducing featured artist here in the UK.
