WaterBear college HQ

Our central Brighton buildings are designed to reflect the WaterBear teaching and learning ethos. You’ll not find large lecture theatres or cold classrooms. Our teaching spaces are welcoming, creative environments designed to stimulate and inspire. Bespoke artwork in every space. Classic vintage music gear alongside brand-new. And state-of-the-art digital technology next to unique one-offs. Not your ordinary music college.

Our HQ is flexible to allow for different activities – from lectures, seminars, and masterclasses to recording sessions and live performances. We also have dedicated space for social media creation, vital in today’s creative industries. It’s also where we host our regular Open Days. We want everyone to experience this unique learning environment firsthand.

A city-wide campus

In addition to the college buildings, we regularly work in professional music venues and studios across the city. This creates a diverse environment, where learning happens in spaces tailor-made for the activities. Hone your live performance at the legendary Prince Albert music venue. Refine your studio recording techniques at Small Pond, a favourite haunt for rising bands and established acts alike. We offer all WaterBear students free rehearsal time at Small Pond and Ooosh! Tours studios, frequented by the likes of Royal Blood, Architects and Gary Numan.
